Meet Our Team

Dr. Brooke West

Dr. West grew up in Sylvania and is a 1999 graduate of Northview High School. In 1993, shebegan working at West Toledo Animal Hospital as a kennel assistant at the age of 14. Dr. West graduated from Findlay College with a degree in Biology, then went on to graduate from The Ohio State University College of Veterinary Medicine in 2006. Dr. West's special interests are surgery and internal medicine. In the summer of 2009, she purchased West Toledo Animal Hospital. She then acquired Perrysburg Animal Care in March of 2011. Dr. West has 2 boys, Aiden and Landon, a lab named Archie, a Great Dane mix named Jackson, and two cats named Skittles and Snickers. Dr. West is a member of the American Veterinary Medical Association, the Ohio Veterinary Association, and the Toledo Veterinary Association.

Dr. Anne Bergstrom

Dr. Bergstrom was an "Army Brat" growing up, living many places and attending many schools. Her favorite place was Hawaii, where she lived with her family for 5 years. Dr. Bergstrom graduated from The Ohio State University College of Veterinary Medicine in 1989. She joined West Toledo Animal Hospital that same year. Her specialty is ophthalmology. Dr. Bergstrom resides in Rossford. Their family includes 5 children,3 dogs, and 6 cats. Dr. Bergstrom is a member of the American Veterinary Medical Association, the Ohio Veterinary Association, and the Toledo Veterinary Association.

Dr. P Michelle Billings

Dr.Billings grew up in Swanton and is a 2005 graduate of Notre Dame Academy.That same year she started at the University of Findlay. She also completed her Master in Public Health-Epidemiology at The University of Toledo before leaving for Ross University School of Veterinary Medicine. She completed her clinical year of veterinary school at The Ohio State University and graduated in the fall of 2016.She was the first veterinarian in Toledo to be certified in Low Stress Handling and Fear Free practice. Other professional interests include preventative medicine and dermatology.In her spare time, she enjoys baking, cooking and finding ways to entertain her Dalmatians, Zoey and Pongo.

Dr. Samantha Wisbon

Dr. Samantha Wisbon is our Animal Chiropractor on staff since 2015. She is a Toledo native and a graduate from Bowsher high school. After finishing her athletic training degree at Alderson-Broaddus University she went on to pursue her dream of becoming a doctor of chiropractic in Florida. While earning her doctorate degree she attended Options for Animals in Kansas, where she learned to treat equine and canine animals through chiropractic care. She is passionate about providing alternative methods, as well as rehabilitation for our 4-legged friends. Dr. Sam is also one of our Technician Assistant Supervisors. In her spare time, she actively participates in the local dock diving and agility events with her own pets. She shares her home with her husband Luke, a human chiropractor and her 4 dogs, Roxy, Micah, Hudson and Chief.

Christine Tomten, Office Manager

Chris joined the PAC team as a receptionist/veterinary assistant in 2014 after taking several years off to focus on her family. She spent 9 years as a veterinary technician in Arizona and is excited to be back in the field. Chris is a graduate of Maumee High School and lives in Toledo with her husband,Robert, and children, Annie and James. They have a chocolate Lab named Si,and a cat, Fury. When she's not working, Chris enjoys spending time with her family, camping, and watching sports.

Sierra Vanderhorst, Receptionist

Sierra grew up in Walbridge, graduated from Lake High School and went on to complete the Penta Career Center Small Animal Care program in 2014. She joined the Perrysburg Animal Care team in May 2015. Sierra lives in Oregon with her husband Mitch, 3 dogs Kaja, Bo and Tango, and cat named Pudge. In her free time, she enjoys going to Toledo Walleye & Toledo Mud Hensgames and spending time with friends and family.

Desiree Moreland, Receptionist/Technician Assistant

Desiree grew up in Toledo, attended Stautzenberger College and graduated from the Medical Office Technology program in 2015. She joined the West Toledo Animal Hospital team as a receptionist in 2016 and is now a technician assistant/receptionist at Perrysburg Animal Care. Desiree's favorite part of the job is being involved the care that gets patients feeling better and keeps them healthy. Her household includes a Sheltie mix named Buddy, a Chihuahua named Parker, a Great Dane mix named Smokey and a cat named Po.

Alex Carey, Technician Assistant

Alexandria Carey, a Toledo native, graduated from Rossford High School in 2013. She graduated from Stautzenburger College in March 2017. Alex has been with West Toledo Animal Hospital and Perrysburg Animal Care since March 2017. Alex loves to spend time with her 4 parakeets Loki, Olaf, Bandit, and Echo, as well as her sun concur Baby and Senegal parrot named Jake. Alex enjoys hitting the trails with Chloe, her Plott Hound mix she adopted while working at West Toledo. In her free time Alex likes to make crafts and being with family. Surgery and lab diagnostics are Alex's favorite area of interest as well as being a part of each animal's journey through the hospital, big or small.

Christina Davenport, Technician Assistant

Christina Davenport started at West Toledo Animal Hospital in October 2016 as a technician assistant. She graduated from Northwood High School in 2013. Her favorite part about working at WTAH is her coworkers and is very interested in rehabilitation. She shares her home with her boyfriend RJ, 5 dogs (Roscoe, Roxy, Layla, Nelson, Gunther), 1 pig (Hamilton Pua) and 1 cat (Richard Rash). Christina and RJ are also very creative as they like to blow glass and create other art together.

MiChelle Fortress, R.V.T.

MiChelle grew up in Toledo and is a 1993 graduate of Central Catholic High School. She attended Stautzenberger College and graduated in 2004 with a veterinary technician degree. MiChelle became a member of our team in 2010.She enjoys surgery and interacting with clients. MiChelle lives in Pemberville with her husband Mike and daughter BrookLynn. The Fortress family includes 2 Bengal cats, 1 English Mastiff, 1 Great Dane, and 6 chickens.

Robin DeVore, R.V.T.

Robin grew up in Walbridge and graduated from Lake High School in 1997. Robin found that her "true calling" was to care for animals. She attended Stautzenberger College and earned her veterinary technician degree in 2005.Robin joined the Perrysburg Animal Care team in 2013. Her areas of interest include dentistry and working in the lab. Robin shares her Lake Township home with husband David and dog Lily.

Demi Moschetti,R.V.T.

Demi is a registered veterinary technician that has been on staff since February of 2015. Shegraduated from Perrysburg High School in 2009 and went to Owens CC for one year and played basketball. She then graduated from Stautzenberger College inSeptember 2015 as a registered veterinary technician. Demi is very interested in behavioral methods as she runs puppy classes here at West Toledo Animal Hospitaland truly enjoys all the aspects of her job as an animal nurse. She has one rescue dog named, Levi, who is a 1 year old pitbull.

Mindy Dilley, Groomer

Mindy has been grooming for over 33 years. She got her start by picking up a book and grooming. Mindy joined Perrysburg Animal Care in 2012. She worked at West Toledo Animal Hospital for 11 years prior and ran a grooming business with a friend for more than 10 years.
